Privacy Policy

Vivid Connect — the app and the platform at isp.vividsolutionstech.com. The app is published on Google Play by Vivid Tech Solutions & Services LLC (Delaware, USA). The service is operated in Ghana by VIVID IT SOLUTIONS & SERVICES (registration BN410291125), which is the data controller for the information described below and the business you contract with. Effective 15 August 2026.

Vivid Connect lets local internet businesses ("providers") sell WiFi access, and lets their customers buy and manage it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how you delete it. It applies to the Vivid Connect mobile app, the customer web portal, and guest purchases made on a provider's WiFi.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, WhatsApp/phone number, username and sign-in credentials; email and address if you choose to add them. Provider (business) accounts also include the business name and payout account details.
• Purchases and payments — the plans you buy, amounts, dates, payment method, Mobile Money number, and payment references. Card numbers never reach us: card payments are handled entirely by Paystack on their secure pages.
• Service and device data — the technical data needed to run a WiFi service: your device's network identifier (MAC address) and local IP on the provider's hotspot, data and time usage per plan and in total, session records, signed-in devices, and a push-notification token if you allow notifications.
• Location — being on a provider's WiFi tells us you are at that WiFi. Precise location is collected only if you explicitly share it on the customer dashboard, after your browser asks you.
• Messages — we send you WhatsApp messages (voucher codes, receipts, low-balance warnings, sign-in codes). We keep records of what was sent.

Why we collect it

• To provide the service: connect your device, deliver what you paid for, warn you before a plan runs out.
• To secure your account: sign-in codes, optional two-step login, device management.
• To support you and to keep honest books: receipts, references, dispute handling, and the provider's legal and bookkeeping obligations.

Who sees it

• The provider you buy from sees their own customers' account and purchase information — you are their customer.
• Payment processing: Paystack processes payments; they receive what a payment needs (amount, reference, your Mobile Money number or card details entered directly with them).
• Message delivery: WhatsApp carries the messages we send you.
• A provider's own linked WhatsApp: providers may link a WhatsApp account so their customers hear from their business rather than from us. Linking works the way WhatsApp Web does — we hold a linked session for that account — so the session can reach the account it is linked to, including its existing chats. We use it only to send the messages described above, never to read or collect anything else, and a provider can unlink it at any time from their dashboard. We recommend providers use a WhatsApp account kept for the business rather than a personal one, and say so where they link it.
• Notifications: Expo delivers push notifications to the app.
• We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires.

How long we keep it, and how you delete it

Your account and personal details stay while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time — in the app (Account → Delete account), on the web portal, or via our deletion request form. Deletion disables the account immediately and permanently erases your personal details after a 30-day window in which signing back in reactivates it. Full details: how account deletion works.

Records of payments and plan purchases are retained for the provider's bookkeeping and legal obligations, with your identity removed so they can no longer be linked to you.

Security

All traffic between the app, the portal and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to personal data is limited to the platform operator and to the provider whose customer you are. Sign-ins are protected by per-device tokens you can revoke, and optional two-step login.

One thing about passwords, stated plainly. On this platform a customer's password is not only a website login: it is also the credential the WiFi network itself uses to let that customer online. Because the network has to be able to check it, the password is stored in a form we can read, rather than scrambled one-way as a website password normally would be. It is held on servers only the platform operator can reach. Even so, please choose a password you do not use anywhere else, and never reuse your email or bank password here.

Children

The service is for general audiences and is not directed at children. Buying internet access requires a Mobile Money or card payment, which requires an adult account.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Questions or requests: message the platform on WhatsApp at +233 55 922 0517, or contact the provider whose WiFi you use — their WhatsApp number is on your voucher messages and receipts.
